Here is an object that illustrates the contribution, in very varied fields (theology, philosophy, industry, goldsmithing or even fine arts), of the Huguenots who fled France and settled in Geneva during the wars of religion.

This silver pocket watch is the work of the great master watchmaker Bernard Dominicé (1651-1727), great-grandson, precisely, of a Huguenot refugee. The box, openworked so as to allow the sound of the alarm clock to escape, features floral and animal motifs that reveal the delicacy of this creation.
