Wednesday November 8, International Museum of the Reformation, 6:30 pm
French writer, editor and translator, Frédéric Boyer has just published a new translation of the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John ( Evangiles, Gallimard, 2022). Following in the footsteps of the Bible of the writers whose work he directed and his translations of Shakespeare and the Song of Rolland, Frédéric Boyer puts back into music and sound a literature born 2000 years ago at the crossroads of the Torah, oral memories relating to the actions and speeches of a young Rabbi named Jesus and of a world crossed by fear, magic and violence, waiting for consolations promised for centuries. To be discovered in the presence of Frédéric Boyer who will review his choices by illustrating them with several readings.
