Tuesday 5 December, International Museum of the Reform, 6.30 p.m.

Religious motifs are important in Rembrandt’s work. On the occasion of the exhibition Rembrandt and the Bible organized at the International Museum of the Reformation by the MIR and the Museum of Art and History of Geneva, its curator Bénédicte De Donker tells how, why and for whom the great painter Protestant produces his biblical engravings, a significant number of which will be visible on the picture rails of the Maison Mallet. Does he only work for Protestants? What are its relationships to Judaism and Catholicism? Why are these little engraved scenes so moving?
